FIFA 16 is probably going to be the biggest shake up the series has seen in years, with sweeping additions made to the moment to moment gameplay, as well as the overall modes list and structure of the game. One of the big new additions to the game is the Ultimate Team Draft Mode, and in an interview with VG247, Adam Shaikh, creative director of FIFA Ultimate Team for the past seven years elaborated on exactly what it is.

Essentially, it’s a perfect distillation of the Ultimate Team experience, and is great for anybody who is too wary of getting into Ultimate Team proper – known to be an almost horrific timesink – but still wants to enjoy what the mode brings to the table.

“One of the original reasons for Draft Mode was more to provide an interesting and compelling change of pace for very experienced players: high risk, high reward, and to really shake it up,” explains Shaikh. “It became obvious very quickly that this was a great distillation of the FUT experience. In an evening you could build a great team, take part in a challenging competition and get rewards at the end.”

He also discussed the Ultimate Team mode itself, assuring us that there would be no changes to its player friendly free to play structure.

It’s always been important for us to say that everything in FIFA Ultimate Team is available for free,” says Shaikh. “There’s nothing you can get by spending that you cannot get for free. Even the auction market – basically the transfer market where you can guarantee what you want – the only thing you can use there is FIFA Coins. It’s critical for us that we focus on a great game that people want to play.”

FIFA 16 launches soon, on Xbox One, PS4, and PC, with Wii, Xbox 360, PS3, iOS, Nintendo 3DS, and PS Vita also all getting some variant of the experience. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage and information.

The newest trailer for the FIFA 16 video game gets soccer fans hyped for the new season of league play.

With the biggest leagues in Europe set to get underway over the next few weeks, including the Premier League this coming weekend, soccer fans around the world are getting amped for the action. For that reason alone, it makes sense that EA Sports would want to capitalize on that excitement.

EA Sports released the latest trailer for their upcoming FIFA 16 title that is essentially a hype video for the 2015-16 season around the world. Quite frankly, it’s awesome and will get anyone ready to see the beautiful game:

With Alex Morgan on the cover of the latest FIFA release, it’s good to see some women’s action in the latest trailer. That being said, they also succeed in cranking up the hype for upcoming seasons, even building to the crescendo of Lionel Messi scoring. Also, let’s not underestimate the fantastic choice of music by having “At Last” playing throughout the latest trailer.

After being hyped up for the new season by the trailer, you won’t have to wait long for actual action. If you’re just stoked for FIFA 16, you’ll have to wait a little longer. The game won’t hit stores until September 25.

There’s no doubting that that the FIFA series has got more and more sophisticated over the years.

Shooting, crossing and passing have all become more realistic, while the game physics are more lifelike with every edition. No wonder, then, that each one feels like a more satisfying gaming experience than the last.

Even the latest editions aren’t without glitches, of course. Some of those glitches can be pretty glaring.

Take this one, for example. One gamer was innocently enjoying a FIFA 15 match between Arsenal and Everton. Suddenly, out of nowhere, Olivier Giroud annihilated Phil Jagielka with a brutal and acrobatic wrestling takedown.

EA’s FIFA series is probably the next best thing out there after the original game. Sure, there’s a Konami-made PES releasing each year, but it still has some way to go before it can boast the sort of cult status that the FIFA series from EA has attained over time.

While the game is all set to make its way to the store shelves later this year, we are still waiting to find out how each player in every team will be rated. As expected, ratings will differ from what it was last year, with new additions to the roster after making successful plunges into the transfer market.

Jordan Henderson capped an incredible day by being named as the cover star of EA Sports’ FIFA 16.

The 25-year-old midfielder was confirmed as Liverpool’s new captain today , replacing club legend Steven Gerrard, and has now seen off competition from Manchester City’s Sergio Agüero, Tottenham striker Harry Kane and Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to be voted onto the cover of the UK and Ireland edition of the game.

For the first time, fans around the world voted for their favourite player to be on the cover, and Henderson is delighted to have come out on top and be sharing the front of the world’s most popular football computer game with Lionel Messi.
